A commissioned piece by Stowport Speckle Park Stud, Tasmania. I’ve been wanting to explore Australian agricultural scenes for awhile and this gave me an opportunity. The interesting perspective called for an emphasis on strokes to depict movement, perfect form, shading and contrast with the background so that the cows remained recognisable in my style. It was fun to approach a quintessential rural scene and iconic style of painting from another angle.
